Description:

The Manufacturing Production Operator is responsible for operating fabrication equipment, organizing materials, and producing high-quality components in a safe and efficient manner. This position plays a key role in supporting production by ensuring products meet quality standards before moving to the next stage of manufacturing.


CTech is willing to train motivated individuals with prior manufacturing experience who have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to learn fabrication equipment and processes.


Essential Functions

  • Operate fabrication machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Read work orders and job specifications to determine machine setup, adjustments, and material requirements.
  • Load and unload materials using a forklift or other material handling equipment.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and basic machine inspections.
  • Monitor machine operation to identify product defects or equipment malfunctions.
  • Operate equipment including turret presses, press brakes, benders, punches, and other fabrication machinery.
  • Verify completed parts meet quality standards and specifications before forwarding to the next production department.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
Requirements:
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
  • Willing to train candidates with manufacturing experience who are eager to learn fabrication equipment and processes.
  • Ability to read a ruler is required.
  • Ability to read calipers and interpret CAD drawings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of decimal and fraction conversions preferred.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
  • Frequently bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb.
  • Good vision, including close vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
