Job Description:
About the Role:
The Dryer Operator at the Wayland location provides support to the Production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
  • Prioritize employee/food safety always, ensuring the quality of our products.
  • Prioritize production at scheduled rate, while consistently demonstrating our Treehouse Values.
  • Demonstrate ability to understand the dryer theory of operations, the signs and symptoms that require system adjustments, and the effects of adjustments available.
  • Inspect, clean, efficiently operate, start-up, shut down, changeover, make minor adjustments, and perform basic troubleshooting on assigned equipment to ensure efficient production of products as scheduled.
  • Ensure that all materials required to run the line remain stocked, and that product produced is appropriately removed and entered into inventory, utilizing appropriate material handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, scanners, etc. in accordance with their SOPs.
  • Responsible for directing team of peers to safely and efficiently complete "Clean In Place" (CIP), plug clearing efforts, and other activities assigned.
  • Perform assigned operations in accordance with established "Standard Operating Procedures" (SOPs) with teammates, immediate supervisors, and other designated personnel to confirm the viability of suggested changes and partner to make updates as necessary.
  • Perform associated continuous improvement activities, such as; line performance tracking, execution of CILs, 'drum beats', etc.
  • Assist in the training and positive mentorship of other team members as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Identify and correct safety and food safety issues in assigned areas and common areas, requesting assistance as needed.
  • Learn and adhere to applicable Safety and Quality protocols as outlined in annual training content such as; Ergonomics, LOTO, PPE, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), etc.
  • Must comply with the requirements defined within the contents of the GMP'S, SOP's, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), LOTO procedures, foods safety programs and all other policies established by TreeHouse Foods.
  • Legibly complete all required documentation.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to successfully multi-task.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Important Details:
This is a full-time position, working Thursday through Monday with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off.
  • 3rd shift operates 12am to 8am

Shift differential included for 2nd and 3rd shift.
