Our client seeks a part-time, fully remote Supplier Operations Manager to support External Manufacturing within Technical Operations. The role owns day-to-day supplier operations for contracts, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders from initiation through execution. The position collaborates with Development, Quality, Analytical, Regulatory, Legal, Procurement, and Supply Chain. The engagement is anticipated at approximately 20 hours per week through December 2026, with an option to extend pending implementation of new Procure to Pay and Contract Lifecycle Management systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage coordination of Technical Operations contracts and purchase requisitions/purchase orders from initiation through execution and release.
  • Initiate and track PO requests in Procurify through issuance of the PO.
  • Manage contract requests submitted via the Smartsheet webform and track them through legal and technical review.
  • Drive urgent SOW and PO reviews and approval routing, following up directly with approvers when timelines compress.
  • Work closely with Legal and Procurement to facilitate timely completion of contracts and POs.
  • Partner with Technical Operations team members to align contract and PO completion with development and manufacturing timelines.
  • Attend and participate in standing contract status meetings and serve as back-up to lead those meetings as needed.
  • Provide other services and deliverables as mutually agreed as needs arise.
  • Potential future scope by mutual agreement: support CDMO vendor and site selection, ensure efficient distribution and logistics, manage tactical manufacturing strategy and vendor performance, and implement and monitor KPIs for CDMO performance.

Experience Requirements:
  • Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with procurement and contracting workflows, including PO systems such as Procurify and contract intake or tracking tools such as Smartsheet.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with an ability to build and maintain collaborative internal and external relationships.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills, with an ability to communicate with executive-level management.
  • Ability to collaborate in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment.
  • Fully remote. No travel required.
