BCI Operations Manager

SUMMARY: The BCI Operations Manager oversees all aspects of Bear Country, Inc.?s Jellystone Park & Resort and Bear Paw Adventure Park area including Jellystone Park, Adventure Island, Bear Paw Ropes Course, Ember, and pool/water operations in accordance with the Company mission statement to ?Make Memories Worth Repeating?, including maximization of guest satisfaction, financial performance, and staff development within established quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility in a safe and satisfactory manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The below list does not include all aspects of the position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES of the BCI OPS Manager:

1. Oversee Bear Paw Adventure Park (BPAP) Operations & Jellystone Park (JSP) & Resort Operations. Lifeguard certification in case of need at the beach/pools (can be provided by BCI). Ground school Ropes Course certification (provided by BCI) in case of a need at the Ropes course.

2. Manager on duty requirements (opener/closer): Money bags, call-offs, adjust staffing, respond to radio calls, handle guest concerns and appease guests, Opening/Closing duties.

3. Scheduling of team members using Hotel Effectiveness scheduling: Making sure schedules are out on time and staff is aware of their schedules.

4. Assists in payroll preparation using Paychex programs.Responsible for various departments (Guest Services, Groundskeeping, Housekeeping)

5. Adjust/add/remove activities as needed: Adjust activities and labor based on staffing, weather, inventory, etc.

6. Liasson between BPAP/JSP: Ensure all areas are functioning and coordinating in unison.

7. Respond to guest inquiries & concerns: The go to person for guest complaints/concerns/inquries, etc. Ensure situations are handled properly.

8. Understands the government regulations affecting operations, including pools and aquatics, ensuring the property is operated in compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, regulations, and requirements of any federal, state or municipal authority.

10. Coordinate/Oversee JSP/BPAP cleanliness:.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Carries out any supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company?s policies, training programs, and applicable laws.

Responsibilities may include scheduling, timecards/payroll, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; swim; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to see differences in widths and lengths of lines such as those on graphs.
