Work Environment

As a remote telehealth facility, Open Door Mental Health offers a flexible work setting designed to accommodate both clients and professionals. You will interact with clients through digital communications while enjoying the comforts of working from home. While the standard schedule runs Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, flexibility is essential, as occasional evenings or weekends may be required to accommodate client appointments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and present concerns.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual goals, incorporating therapeutic methodologies suitable for diverse client needs.
  • Provide individual, couples, and group counseling, utilizing appropriate interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of professionals to ensure comprehensive and cohesive client care, engaging in case discussions and contributing insights from your sessions.
  • Document client progress diligently, maintaining accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development, ensuring that your skills and knowledge remain current and effective.

Qualifications
  • Active and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington State.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field; a Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling or an accredited equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience conducting individual and group therapy in a mental health setting.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a telehealth capacity or familiarity with digital client management systems.
