Friday-Sunday 7am-7pm

Job Summary and Qualifications

The  Ultrasound Technologist is responsible forโ€ฏperforming a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician. This role isโ€ฏresponsible forโ€ฏday-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.โ€ฏ 


What you will do in this role:โ€ฏ 


  • Perform a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician.  
  • Maintain responsibility forโ€ฏday-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.โ€ฏ 
  • Demonstrateโ€ฏthe ability to perform surgery and portable exams.โ€ฏ 
  • Accurately follow physician orders, documentโ€ฏthe completion of theโ€ฏexam in Meditech,โ€ฏscansโ€ฏdocumentโ€ฏandโ€ฏverifyโ€ฏimages in PACS. 
  • Follow proper procedures for quality controls and HLD related to equipment and accessories.โ€ฏ 
  • Demonstrateโ€ฏproper documentation concerningโ€ฏthe patientโ€™sโ€ฏhistory, including lab values.โ€ฏ 

What qualifications you will need:โ€ฏโ€ฏ 


  • Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography programโ€ฏrequired

  • ARRT(S) or 

  • (ARDMS)  Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography must be obtainedโ€ฏwithin 6 monthsโ€ฏof employment start date. 

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required. 

  • 1 year of related experience preferred.

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB-GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They also have access to (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
