Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room Charge Nurse position requiring at least 1 year of OR experience, with a weekend-only schedule (Friday through Sunday).

Details
  • Hospital Operating Room (OR) setting
  • Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
  • Weekend schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with occasional late-day Friday shifts
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Charge Nurse role — must be willing to work in a Charge capacity
  • Scrubs are provided by the facility
Requirements
  • Active RN license (Oklahoma state or Compact) required
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
  • Charge Nurse experience preferred
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
  • Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
  • No more than 3 days of RTO will be pre-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
