Looking for meaningful work that fits your schedule? We are hiring Weekend Caregivers!

  • Work weekends. Make a difference. Get paid!
  • Support residents in their homes and communities. 
  • Be a part of a team that values the work you do. 
  • Great opportunity for students, parents, retirees, or anyone looking for weekend hours. 
  • Starting pay (includes training): $13.80, can increase in first 30 days to $17.13 hourly if fully trained. 
  • Locations in Farmington Hills, Bloomfield Hills, West Bloomfield, etc.
  • Weekends Only: Saturday/Sundays: 7-3pm, 3-11pm, and 11pm- 7am

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide person’s served within assigned house with assistance, companionship, and comfort as needed 

  • Comply with all OCHN and Jarc standards and requirements (more below) 

  • Ensure the care of person’s served complies with the standards and requirements of all accrediting, licensing, and contractual bodies.  

  • Drive person’s served to/from errands, appointments, or events – in a Jarc vehicle. 

  • Document all daily notes, medications, and other required documentation in an appropriate and timely manner 

  • Communicate appropriately with person’s served, staff, and house managers.  

  • Maintain communication around work schedule and hours 

Qualifications & Skills 

  • High School Diploma required 

  • Current and valid driver’s license 

  • At least 1-2 years' experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. 

  • Experience in a home care or hospital setting, preferred 

  • Ability to stay calm in a stressful environment 

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills 

  • Time-management 

  • Willingness to work with people of different backgrounds, experience level, and abilities 

Working at Jarc 

All Jarc employees are required to pass a background check, sign a TB authorization form, and provide a physical.  

Additionally, DSPs will be required to have an active CPR/First Aid Certification, Medication Training, and additional trainings required by the state and other entities. These will be provided as part of training.
