Position Overview: Camco Pros is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support ongoing residential housing maintenance for residential apartment properties. This role is hands-on and requires a well-rounded technician capable of diagnosing and completing a wide range of repairs while maintaining professionalism when interacting with tenants. The ideal candidate is dependable, experienced, and able to respond to both scheduled work and after-hours service calls with a calm, solutions-oriented approach.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across residential units, including: 
    • Plumbing (minor repairs, leaks, fixture replacements) 
    • Electrical (basic troubleshooting, outlets, switches, lighting) 
    • Carpentry (doors, trim, minor framing repairs) 
    • Drywall and painting repairs 
    • Appliance troubleshooting and minor repairs 
  • Respond to service calls and complete work orders in a timely manner 
  • Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotation for emergency maintenance 
  • Travel to job sites as needed (local travel required) 
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment 
  • Communicate clearly with tenants while maintaining professionalism and respect 
  • Assess situations quickly and maintain situational awareness in occupied environments 
  • Document completed work and communicate any follow-up needs to management 
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and unit turns as needed 
Required Qualifications
  • 5–10 years of maintenance or trades experience (residential preferred) 
  • Strong working knowledge across multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.) 
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Reliable personal transportation to job sites 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • English speaking with the ability to communicate clearly with tenants and team members 
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and aware in tenant-occupied environments 
  • Willingness to participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotation 
  • Experience working in multi-family or public housing environments 
  • Familiarity with work order systems or mobile field apps 
  • Basic understanding of safety practices and compliance 
Physical Requirements
