Beach Guard & Pool Attendant - Harrah's Laughlin Beach Resort
We're looking for a friendly, observant, and safety-minded Beach Guard Pool Attendant to monitor access to our pool and beach areas and ensure all guests enjoy a secure and relaxing environment. This role is essential to maintaining guest safety, enforcing property policies, and delivering exceptional service in one of the resort's most active outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and verify all guests entering the pool and beach areas to ensure they are registered hotel patrons
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all pool and beach policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Ensure permitted guests adhere to all posted rules and hotel guidelines
  • Assist guests and team members in situations involving safety, customer service, and asset protection
  • Respond quickly, calmly, and appropriately during crisis or emergency situations
  • Provide clear direction to guests and employees during emergencies and follow instructions from management or outside agencies
  • Communicate clearly and fluently in English
  • Uphold Harrah's & Tropicana's Family Style Service standards at all times
  • Comply with all departmental and company policies and procedures

Qualifications
What we are looking for
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Strong communication and guest-service skills
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in high-pressure situations
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment
  • Must have or be able to obtain an Alcohol Card and SNHD Health Card

Physical & Environmental Demands
This role requires the ability to:
  • Run and stand for extended periods
  • Work in hot or cold outdoor temperatures
  • Walk for the entire shift
  • Maneuver in confined spaces
  • Work in dusty or high-noise environments
  • Walk up and down stairs
  • Bend, stoop, twist, reach, and lift up to 60 lbs
  • Push/pull up to 150 lbs
  • Maintain clear verbal communication in English
  • Work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
  • Work in areas with second-hand smoke exposure
