JOB SUMMARY

The Administrative Assistant for Mission and Ministry assists the Chief Mission Officer and the Campus Ministry Department in all programming. The Administrative Assistant for Mission and Ministry specifically assists students with Mobile Serve and other aspects of Christian Service record keeping. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Associates or bachelors degree preferred.
  • Must possess proficiency in computer technology.
  • Must demonstrate patience and must have the ability to work under pressure.
  • Express good judgement and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks as necessary.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations, parents and students.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Checks in and verifies all student Christian Service hours via Mobile Serve software.
  • Maintains records for three Christian Service Honors Societies.
  • Maintains Veracross calendaring for the department including Retreats, Liturgies (daily Masses and all school Masses), Spiritus and Formation events.
  • Maintains inventory and ordering for Campus Ministry supplies, sacristy, and events.
  • Assists with all school Mass set up and clean up.
  • Coordinates set up for major events including but not limited to Speakers, Prayer Events and Board Committee Events.
  • Some evenings and weekends based on department needs.
  • Assisting with other tasks as assigned.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL DATA AND JOB HAZARDS

  • The Administrative Assistant for mission and Ministry is a ten month position
  • Attendance at extracurricular activities is encouraged whenever possible.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

  • Moderate physical effort required.
  • Some lifting may be required.
  • Employee must be able to impart and receive detailed information through verbal and written communication.
  • Employee must have ability to work in situations dealing with people and working with set limits, tolerances, and standards.
