Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Professional Biller to join our Patient Accounts team. The Professional Biller will be responsible for the accurate and timely billing of medical claims, follow-up on unpaid accounts, resolving billing issues, and ensuring compliance with all applicable healthcare billing regulations and payer requirements.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Associate degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Billing & Coding, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional medical billing experience required, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Commercial Insurance, and Workers’ Compensation billing guidelines.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and billing systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding standards.
  • Strong understanding of insurance claim processing and denial management.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Certified Professional Biller (CPB) certification preferred.
