Network Engineer (Load Balancing & Security Focus)

Overview

eNGINE is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support and enhance a complex enterprise network environment. This role will focus heavily on load balancing, network security, and infrastructure optimization, with an emphasis on delivering immediate impact in critical areas. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with modern networking technologies, automation, and cloud connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage load balancing solutions, with a strong focus on F5 technologies

Develop and maintain traffic management configurations, including iRules and/or Python-based automation

Administer and optimize firewall environments, including cloud-based deployments

Manage software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) and secure network segmentation solutions

Support DNS and web application firewall (WAF) configurations

Perform network upgrades, migrations, and conversions across infrastructure components

Troubleshoot and resolve complex network outages and performance issues

Implement and improve change control processes and operational procedures

Configure and maintain Layer 3 routing, including experience with vendor-specific implementations

Build and maintain secure connectivity solutions, including IPsec tunnels and encryption standards

Contribute to network automation initiatives for infrastructure management and upgrades

Collaborate on endpoint security, authentication (e.g., 802.1X), and access control solutions

Support hybrid/cloud connectivity and integration efforts

Required Qualifications

3โ€“10+ years of hands-on network engineering experience

Strong expertise in load balancing technologies (F5 highly preferred)

Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, iRules)

Solid understanding of enterprise firewall management and security principles

Experience with routing, switching, and network infrastructure design

Proven ability to troubleshoot network outages and implement corrective actions

Familiarity with network segmentation and zero-trust principles

Experience working in cloud or hybrid network environments
