Job description

Pride Neon Signs

Do you enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced environment and take pride in producing high-quality craftsmanship? Are you looking to join a collaborative team that values skill, precision, and teamwork? If so, we’re looking for a Custom Sign Fabricator & Assembler to join our team.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Fabricate and assemble custom metallic and nonmetallic products and components according to work orders, drawings, and specifications.
  • Applies knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, machinability of materials, and layout techniques, operating conventional, special-purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, layouts, and measurements.
  • Measure, cut, drill, fasten, weld, bend, or shape materials.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment.
  • Assemble electrical or illuminated components (where applicable), following safety and quality standards.
  • Perform finishing work such as sanding, grinding, polishing, laminating, or applying graphics.
  • Assist with packing, staging, or preparing finished products for delivery or installation.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Experience and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or a related trade is preferred.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Basic fabrication and assembly skills across materials.
  • Willing to learn and train on new techniques, tools, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, layouts, and work orders.
  • Accurate measuring, cutting, and alignment skills.
  • Practical understanding of shop mathematics.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of how components fit and function together.
  • Familiarity with shop equipment and safe operating procedures.

Physical and Other Requirements:

  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 100 lbs.).
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Visual acuity to perform detailed work and inspections.
  • Must be available for overtime or weekend work when projects require it.
