View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Required Bachelor's degree in English or a closely related field. 3+ years of full-time classroom teaching experience. Strong instructional skills with proven classroom management and communication abilities.

Comfort with educational technology and innovative teaching practices. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team-based environment. Preferred Master's degree in English, English education, or a related field.

Clear California Single Subject Teaching Credential in English. Experience teaching upper school grades. Experience in independent schools.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Salary Range: $73,000 - $100,000 Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Short and Long-Term Disability, and Life Insurance Paid Time Off: 10 Faculty wellness days Retirement: 403(b) Retirement Plan with employer contribution Additional: Tuition Remission, Salary Continuance Plan, Wee Tartan Childcare Center (upon availability) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT: The Upper School English Teacher must be able to work in a classroom environment that includes long periods of sitting, standing, and moving around. The role requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and engage in daily campus movement, including navigating stairs and outdoor spaces. The teacher must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English and demonstrate visual and auditory acuity to interact with students and staff.

Work may involve occasional evening or weekend responsibilities to support school events, student activities, or professional development.
