Job Summary:
Job Summary
You are applying for a student game worker position in the athletics department. Student workers play a vital role in our game-day presentation and fill numerous roles at our events. Candidates need to be able to perform the duties listed below capably.
Job Duties
  • Provide excellent customer service at all UW-Superior athletic events
  • Greet customers with a positive attitude
  • Provide information regarding athletic events and promotions
  • Assist in event set up and take down
  • Encourage customer participation in promotional activities
  • Retrieve and supply balls for players and officials during events
  • Verify valid student identification cards
  • Distribute coupons and other promotional materials as directed
  • Dress in proper work apparel suitable to venue and weather
  • Other duties as assigned

Compensation
Position: Campus Support - Level 2
Pay Rate: $12.00/hour
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a current UW-Superior student
  • Preference given to students who qualify for federal work study
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and during breaks

Additional Information
* Maximum of 20.00 hours/week for international student employees to comply with VISA requirements. Additionally, maximum of 25.00 hours/week for domestic students working under a student assist contract to comply with ACA regulations.

The University will not reveal the identities of applicants who request confidentiality in writing, except that the identities of 'final candidates' must be revealed upon request. According to the Attorney General, 'final candidates' under Wisconsin law means the five candidates who are considered most qualified for the position. See Wis. Stat. Sec. 19.36(7)(a).
Employment will require a criminal background check, and if you have prior work history within the last seven years with Universities of Wisconsin or State of Wisconsin agencies, a personnel file review check for employee misconduct. It will also require your references to answer questions regarding employee misconduct, sexual violence and sexual harassment. The University reserves the right to check references with notice given to the candidates at the appropriate time in the process.
