TES Staffing in partner with K-12 school districts are looking for substitute teacher/classroom aides to join our team for the upcoming school year! This position is on the West side of Rochester and may require floating to various school districts such as Greece, Spencerport, Brockport, and more, providing support to their special education students. What You'll Be Doing: Making Every Day Count!
This is an exciting opportunity where you'll be a key player in shaping the daily success and growth of our students. You'll work directly with students ages 3-22, supporting them to thrive both academically and socially.

  • Supervise and support students during classroom lessons, lunch, recess, and transitions between activities.
  • Work with students one-on-one and in small groups to help them stay focused, complete assignments, and participate in activities.
  • Assist students during both structured lessons and less-structured times, such as free play or group activities.
  • Help students develop important life skills, including managing emotions, solving conflicts, and making positive choices.
  • Support the teacher by helping carry out academic and behavior plans designed to meet each student’s needs.
  • Assist with small group instruction, classroom organization, and light cleaning tasks to help keep the classroom running smoothly.
  • Observe student behavior and progress, and share updates with the teacher as needed.
  • Help write brief progress notes or incident reports when requested.
  • Work closely with the teacher and other staff to ensure students are safe, supported, and making progress toward their goals.
