Motion Designer, EA SPORTS MADDEN NFLJob Summary:

As a Motion Designer for EA SPORTS MADDEN NFL, you will be a key creative force in shaping the visual excitement and energy of the game. You will design and implement high-quality 2D and 3D motion graphics that captivate millions of players and define the look and feel of our in-game content. Reporting to the Motion Graphics Lead, you will collaborate with a passionate, cross-functional team to deliver polished motion experiences that elevate player engagement and drive the visual identity of a world-class sports title.

Responsibilities:

Design and Animate: Create visually compelling 2D and 3D motion content for Madden’s in-game presentations and front-end experiences, ensuring the player experience stays fresh and engaging year-round.

Collaborate and Execute: Partner with Experience Designers, UI Designers, UI Technical Designers, Art Directors, and Engineers to translate creative direction into polished motion experiences that balance player needs, business goals, and technical constraints.

Conceptualize and Prototype: Drive the visualization of new game features and product initiatives through motion prototypes, 3D explorations, and visual storytelling.

Elevate the Visual Language: Evolve and champion the motion design principles and standards that ensure a consistent, high-quality visual experience across the entire Madden ecosystem.

Advocate and Iterate: Present your work to stakeholders, articulate design rationale, and iterate based on feedback to enhance the usability, clarity, and emotional impact of the final product.

Requirements:

A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional 2D/3D motion design, video editing, compositing, and animation craft. Your work should demonstrate powerful visual storytelling and a user-centered approach.

3+ years of professional experience creating high-quality motion graphics for product, entertainment, or game development teams.

Expert proficiency in After Effects and Cinema 4D. Experience with design systems and prototyping tools like Figma is essential.

Deep understanding of core visual design principles, including composition, typography, color, timing, and motion theory.

Demonstrated experience creating motion content that supports a product through its development release cycles.

Proven ability to develop concepts and translate them into compelling motion experiences, from initial exploration through final implementation.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

A genuine passion for sports, gaming, and creating unforgettable player experiences.
