Project Overview:

Bechtel Mining and Metals offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the mining sector across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Bauxite, Alumina, Aluminium, Copper, Gold, Coal, Lithium and Rare Earths markets.  The M&M global business unit also has offices in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in Australia along with execution units in the United States, Peru, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, India and other project locations around the world.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will partner with stakeholders and end users to understand and teach, the evolutions of the Digital Supply Chain tools. You will consider impacts, risks, and feedback to determine industry best practices, and will update or contribute to the update of governance and guidance, training materials, and Supply Chain work processes. Your insights on end-user adoption will help Program Management ensure Digital Supply Chain tools are meeting requirements.

This is a full-time position with possible work from home options as per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with function or project leadership.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Delivers updated Supply Chain work processes and procedures relative to execution of Digital Supply Chain and in alignment with overall Supply Chain Governances and instructions and Project processes and procedures
  • Interfaces directly with end users to address system / tool issues and escalates issues as necessary to the business unit DSCS Implementation Manager and or DSCS Corporate team
  • Partners with sponsors, managers, leads and project team members to gain an understanding of all aspects of change involved with the Digital Supply Chain (DSC) tools
  • Troubleshoots, trains and advises project personnel on Digital Supply Chain
  • Tracks status of project deliverables and milestones as it relates to systems configuration, implementation, and work execution
  • Escalates system/tool issues as necessary to the business unit DSC Implementation Manager or DSC Corporate team
  • Creates and updates governance, instructions, training materials, etc. relative to Digital Supply Chain in collaboration with other functional and discipline resources
  • Delivers updated Supply Chain work processes and procedures relative to execution of Digital Supply Chain and in alignment with overall Supply Chain Governances and instructions
  • Provides insight to Program Management Office and other committees regarding status of end user adoption Reports risks and issues that may impact the success of project planning and execution to the appropriate level in the Organization
  • Works with stakeholder groups such as Supply Chain Project team members and the IS&T Technical team members to communicate priorities of deployment activities, including coordination of production support
Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10  years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience​

Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to problem-solve and analyse data
  • Ability to demonstrate judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Communication skills to network and connect with internal and external personnel in area of expertise Has a demonstrated understanding of Supply Chain and Project lifecycles i.e. Procurement practices and project delivery
  • Demonstrated experience in training personnel
