Surgical Technologist – Ambulatory Surgery Center

Location: San Rafael, California

Pay Rate: $ 1,200 To $ 1,536/Week

Contract: 8 Weeks

Schedule: Variable Day Shifts | No Weekends

Experience: Minimum 5 Years Required

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for an 8-week contract opportunity in an Ambulatory Surgery Center. The ideal candidate will support ophthalmology and outpatient surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile environment, preparing surgical equipment, and assisting the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and sterile supplies for procedures.
• Assist surgeons by anticipating instrument needs and maintaining the sterile field.
• Support patient positioning, specimen handling, and surgical counts according to facility protocols.
• Monitor infection prevention standards and promptly identify breaks in sterile technique.
• Assist with room turnover, equipment readiness, and inventory management between procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program required.
• Minimum 5 years of surgical scrub experience in an ambulatory surgery setting required.
• Current BLS certification required; CST certification preferred.
• Ophthalmology surgical experience required.
