Structural Steel Welder

Sioux Falls, SD | Full-Time | In Person | Monday through Friday

About This Role

Egger Steel Company has served the Upper Midwest as a trusted structural steel fabricator for over 80 years. We are looking for a skilled welder to join our team in Sioux Falls, SD. This is a full-time, permanent position with no weekend or night shifts, and competitive pay. As an employee-owned company, every team member shares in our success through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan.

Responsibilities

  • Weld structural steel components including beams, columns, and assemblies to project specifications and industry standards.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to select the proper welding techniques and materials.

  • Operate, set up, and maintain welding equipment following all safety guidelines.

  • Inspect and test completed welds to verify strength, quality, and code compliance.

  • Maintain accurate records including weld logs, certifications, and reports.

  • Work alongside fabricators, fitters, and project leads in a productive shop environment.

Requirements

  • 1 year of welding experience preferred (all skill levels are welcome to apply)

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards

  • Must pass a background check and shop physical

Schedule and Location

Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:20 PM (45 hours per week)

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Location: Sioux Falls, SD (in person)

Experience: 1 year of welding preferred. All skill levels encouraged to apply.
