Job description

Job Summary:
Positions available in the following cities: (locations within 25 Mile Radius of each other)
  • Hill City, SD
  • Custer, SD

As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring their safety and well-being during their journey.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely transport children from home to school and school to home.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children on the bus.
  • Maintain an orderly, calm, and safe environment on the bus.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus before and after each route.
  • Report any required repairs or maintenance to the team.
  • Complete and submit mileage reports for the routes driven.
  • Keep the bus clean, tidy, and in mechanically sound condition.
  • Follow all traffic laws and school safety protocols.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings and any other required training.

Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, DOT Physical and DOT Drug screening.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and commit to reliable attendance.
  • Willingness to obtain a DOT License (we provide paid training to help you obtain this).
  • A passion for working with children and a dedication to their safety.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.

Schedule:
  • Split shift Monday to Friday. Start and end time are based on route.
    • AM - typically between 6AM - 9AM
    • PM - typically between 3PM - 6PM
  • Additional hours

    • Charters as needed by 3rd party booking (weddings, bachelor or bachelorette party)
  • Weekend work available
