Laboratory Technician - WEEKEND SUPPORT (Metallurgical Lab) -Woodhaven , Michigan
Contract position through end of September, 2026
Pay Rate: up to $44.00 per hour
*Our customer is seeking someone with prior lab experience. Associate or Bachelor degree preferred. This is NOT A 40-HOUR per week position. The ideal candidate must be flexible to work different shifts. This position is to fill in for summer vacations and technician absences, but will go beyond to fulfill a two-technician per shift quota. Will consider a candidate with less experience, however, extensive training will required on various shifts. In order for this to become a long-term role, the technician must become versed in all aspects of lab testing and be able to work and think independently.
Description of the Laboratory Technician - WEEKEND SUPPORT (Metallurgical Lab) :
Conduct diverse metallurgical evaluations utilizing equipment of the metallurgical lab including: shearing, machining, tensile testing, bending, metallography and microscopy. Complete testing and clearly communicate technical information and results. Efficiently execute tasks while ensuring quality of results. Utilize equipment in a safe operating manner and in compliance with Client's safety standards. Specific experience in outlined metallurgical evaluations is not required, but would be beneficial. Candidates must be comfortable operating lab equipment and willing to learn and follow clearly defined procedures.
A successful candidate will be subject to a background check and must receive satisfactory results of the same, as a condition of joining the team.
