Role Objective


The Event & Community Manager is responsible for driving community awareness, trust, and lead generation through events, grassroots outreach, and online community engagement. This role serves as the firm's primary presence at community events and within local networks, building meaningful relationships that position the firm as a trusted resource for the immigrant community. The ideal candidate is proactive, culturally sensitive, highly organized, and equally comfortable managing logistics behind the scenes as they are representing the firm in public settings.


Responsibilities/Duties


Event Sourcing & Planning

  • Identify and recommend relevant community, cultural, nonprofit, and immigration-related events aligned with firm outreach goals.
  • Maintain a 90-day event pipeline with upcoming opportunities, registrations, and logistics.
  • Coordinate event registrations, sponsorships, booth logistics, and staffing requirements.
  • Ensure all event materials are prepared and confirmed at least 72 hours prior to each event.


Booth Setup & Event Execution

  • Arrive early to events to set up booth displays and materials in accordance with firm standards.
  • Represent the firm professionally, warmly, and in a culturally sensitive manner.
  • Proactively engage attendees, collect qualified leads, and complete intake forms.
  • Maintain an organized and visually appealing booth presentation throughout each event.
  • Manage and transport required event materials including banners, signage, QR codes, tablets, flyers, business cards, and swag.


Community Outreach & Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, churches, schools, influencers, and event organizers.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up communication with community partners between events.
  • Identify and develop collaboration, partnership, and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Position the firm as a trusted and accessible resource within the local immigrant community.


Social Media & Online Community Management

  • Create event-related social content before, during, and after events across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and TikTok.
  • Build and maintain active online communities that support ongoing engagement between events.
  • Respond to comments and messages promptly and professionally.
  • Produce a variety of content types including event promotion, live coverage, community highlights, educational immigration content, and short-form video.


Swag & Vendor Management

  • Order and manage promotional items and booth materials in alignment with brand standards.
  • Track inventory levels and initiate reorders proactively.
  • Source cost-effective vendors and recommend creative giveaway ideas aligned with the community and firm brand.


Creative Community Marketing

  • Continuously propose and develop new ideas for community engagement, workshops, local sponsorships, partnerships, grassroots outreach, and social campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure event and community initiatives align with firm marketing and lead generation goals.


Requirements


  • 2+ years of experience in event coordination, community outreach, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in social media content creation and community management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable representing the firm in public settings and engaging with strangers and large audiences.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple events and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in tools including Canva, Meta Business Suite, Google Workspace, and HubSpot preferred.
  • Availability for occasional evenings and weekends as required by event schedule.
  • Must maintain professional and culturally sensitive conduct in all community interactions.
  • Must have the ability to travel between the firm's local office locations and event sites as needed.
