Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Bilingual Medical Records Specialist to join our healthcare support team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an organized, fast-paced office environment and enjoys helping patients and healthcare partners through accurate and timely medical records processing.

What You'll Do
As a Medical Records Specialist, you will support the release and processing of medical records requests while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process medical records requests received via phone, email, and fax
  • Manage a high volume of requests, averaging approximately 250 per week
  • Review and track requests using Excel spreadsheets and EMR systems
  • Match medical records with corresponding billing information
  • Fax and securely send records to authorized recipients
  • Upload attachments and maintain organized documentation
  • Verify records, notes, and procedures within the EMR system
  • Answer incoming phone calls related to medical records requests and releases
  • Transfer calls to the appropriate department when necessary
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling patient information

    • Must be comfortable uploading, tracking, and managing information digitally
  • Ability to work within EMR systems and handle confidential information professionally

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience processing medical records requests or release of information (ROI)
