Responsible for the daily audit of Health Center charges using medical coding procedures and guidelines.

Lafene Health Center provides students with accessible, high quality, and affordable outpatient healthcare, focusing on keeping you healthy and promoting a healthy campus community. Care is provided by board certified physicians and nurse practitioners, as well as nursing professionals. Students will receive the same high quality care you would expect from your healthcare providers at home. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires two years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six months to one year minimum experience with medical coding. One year clinical experience to include general office skills and computer experience.
  • Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding. Knowledge of medical terminology. Able to read and understand clinic notes in patient records. Have a pleasant personality, clear speaking voice, good command of English and spelling, have consideration for others, and proficiently perform daily work requirements. The person in this position should be very dependable to ensure the efficient operation of the department and provision of quality service to our patients.
