Job description

Tallgrass Healthcare Campus, a full-service elder care community located in Junction City, is seeking a full-time dedicated Transportation CNA. Tallgrass Healthcare Campus offers a wealth of amenities and services for after-hospital rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care.   • Perform all duties as assigned and in accordance with facility’s established policies and procedures, nursing care procedures and safety rules and regulations.

  • Inspect the vehicles each shift prior to the first transportation.

  • Assists in ensuring the facility vehicle’s maintenance is completed in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and as needed on a routine basis.

  • Perform all safety measures to ensure resident safety during transportations.

  • Ensures residents are transported in a safe manner, following all vehicle code requirements and posted guidelines.

  • Ensures residents are properly secured prior to and during transportation.

  • May assist resident with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.

  • May assist residents with or performs activities of daily living for resident in accordance with care plans and established policies and procedures. 

  • Coordinate transportation needs and requests with other departments in a courteous and timely manner.

  • Reports changes in a resident’s condition to the resident’s nurse and supervisor.

  • Perform other nursing duties as assigned by nursing management

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be a current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in the state of Kansas

  • Must have current CPR for Health Care Providers

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

  • Must possess a clean driving record.

  • Must have excellent time management skills and be able to work within deadlines

  • Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude with residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times

  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs
