Job description

Medical Assistant

Our client, the nation's largest private academic plastic surgery practice serving Long Island and the New York metro area, is currently seeking a Medical Assistant. The Medical Assistant will provide quality patient care by assisting our physicians within a clinical setting.

Responsibilities include:

assisting physician with patient examinations and office procedures (suture removal, set-up for minor surgeries, etc.), cleaning examination rooms, ensuring examination rooms are fully stocked, sterilizing equipment, recording patient and testing information, managing patient flow, dressing changes, and logging specimens. Requirements include: a graduate of an accredited medical assistant program, experience working within the Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery field, ability to speak English and Spanish (preferred), 2+ years' experience working as a medical assistant, and experience working with a fast-paced environment. Maintain flexibility within schedule.
