Director of ICU – Full-Time Permanent Position

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico (Zip 88011)
Schedule: Full-Time, Permanent

Lead our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with strategic vision and operational excellence. Oversee clinical operations, foster a culture of quality and safety, and drive team performance in a high-acuity for-profit hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct all ICU operations, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Build and mentor high-performing teams focused on quality initiatives, patient safety, and outcomes improvement.

  • Facilitate relationships with providers, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance care delivery.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics for ICU services.

  • Ensure adherence to Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulations; lead accreditation efforts.

  • Manage fiscal responsibilities, resource allocation, and continuous quality improvement programs.

  • Collaborate with hospital leadership on strategic planning, throughput, and capacity management.

  • Promote professional development, retention, and evidence-based practices among staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current or eligible New Mexico RN license.

  • 7+ years healthcare experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
