Job description

We are recruiting a psychologist with expertise in the delivery of behavioral health services in the integrated primary care setting.  This position will include screening, assessment, and evidence-based intervention, as well as multidisciplinary collaboration with pediatricians, advanced practice nursing professionals, and masters level behavioral health clinicians.  Our integrated primary care program is an experience frequently sought by our psychology interns and residents; this position will include a strong teaching component that includes both psychology and medical trainees.

This position includes protected academic time for service, research, and other scholarly activities.  Faculty mentoring and hospital-wide educational programs are available for those interested in clinical scholarship (e.g., program evaluation, quality improvement initiatives).  This position carries an academic appointment at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, with rank commensurate to qualifications and experience. We are recruiting at all levels of experience.

Applicants for the clinical psychology positions must have:

  • A PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology, pediatric psychology, or clinical child psychology
  • Completion of an APA-accredited internship with clinical child and adolescent psychology as a major area of study
  • Relevant experience
  • Eligibility for licensure in Missouri and Kansas, including appropriate postdoctoral experience
