Position Summary:
The Manager, Marketing is responsible for leading the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that support key business objectives, including ticket sales, brand growth, retail, events and broadcast initiatives.

This role serves as the strategic lead for assigned campaigns, translating department objectives into actionable marketing plans across paid, owned and earned channels. The Manager collaborates closely with internal departments, agency partners and key stakeholders to deliver fan-first marketing campaigns that drive measurable business results.

Success in this role requires strong project leadership, strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, organization and accountability. This role is expected to expertly lead projects, influence partners and drive integrated planning across the organization.  This role reports to the Director of Marketing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Develop strategic marketing plans for assigned campaigns that align with departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Translate high-level business goals into integrated marketing strategies and tactical execution plans.
  • Lead campaign planning from concept through execution, measurement and optimization.
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on budget and meet established performance goals.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional project teams across Marketing, Sales, Business Intelligence, Creative Services, Digital, Partnerships, Retail and Communications.
  • Facilitate project meetings, establish timelines and proactively communicate priorities, risks and next steps.
  • Anticipate stakeholder needs and identify opportunities to improve collaboration and efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships across departments to deliver seamless fan experiences.
  • Lead and support on-site marketing activations, including games and special events.

Data & Performance

  • Monitor campaign performance and leverage insights to optimize future marketing efforts.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence and agency partners to evaluate campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Use fan behavior, research and analytics to inform recommendations and campaign improvements.
  • Present campaign recaps, learnings and recommendations to leadership.

Innovation

  • Bring forward new ideas, emerging marketing trends and best practices that improve fan engagement.
  • Recommend new tactics, channels and technologies that strengthen campaign performance.
  • Contribute to the evolution of marketing processes and integrated planning.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Own assigned marketing campaigns from strategy through execution.
  • Develop integrated go-to-market plans across paid, owned and earned channels.
  • Build detailed project plans, timelines and communication plans.
  • Coordinate agency partners and internal stakeholders throughout campaign development.
  • Partner with Brand and Production teams to develop campaign messaging and creative assets.
  • Manage campaign budgets for assigned projects.
  • Identify risks early and proactively develop solutions.
  • Ensure campaigns align with Seattle Kraken brand standards.
  • Present campaign plans, updates and post-campaign recaps to leadership.
  • Continuously evaluate marketing performance and recommend improvements.
  • Support department-wide initiatives and special projects as assigned.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of progressive marketing experience.
  • Experience developing and leading integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple departments and external partners.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to make recommendations.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Creative thinker with strong business acumen.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and solutions focused.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional fan experiences.
  • Experience in sports or live entertainment is preferred.

Total Rewards Package:

  • Compensation:
    • In accordance with Washington’s Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the expected salary range for this position is $82,000 - $90,000. The full salary band for this level is $82,000 - $90,000. Actual base pay will depend on employee’s experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
    • This role is classified as full-time, exempt.

Working Conditions:

  • This role is based on-site in our Seattle office and requires work to be performed in person. However, we do value flexibility as the business will allow and offer occasional opportunities to work from home.
  • Minimal Travel (<10% travel): May be required to travel. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required
  • Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs.
