Akron Biotech is hiring a Manufacturing Biotech Maintenance Technician to support cleanroom operations, laboratory readiness, and GMP-compliant manufacturing activities within a growing biotechnology organization advancing cell and gene therapy solutions.

This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented, hands-on professional with experience in laboratory, manufacturing, cleanroom, or regulated environments who is comfortable supporting equipment maintenance, environmental monitoring, documentation, cleaning procedures, and day-to-day operational readiness.

In this role, you will help maintain cleanroom and laboratory environments, support manufacturing and process development teams, perform equipment and facility support activities, and ensure accurate documentation in accordance with SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Akron Biotech manufactures and distributes components and raw materials that support cell therapy discovery, development, and commercialization worldwide. General Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanroom and laboratory readiness through routine cleaning, disinfecting, and facility upkeep in accordance with SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring for ISO 7/8 cleanrooms and ISO 5 environments using viable air samplers, contact plates, and particle counters.
  • Support manufacturing and process development teams with equipment cleaning, glassware preparation, preventive maintenance, calibration support, qualification activities, tubing assembly, sterilization preparation, and autoclaving.
  • Follow cGMP, safety, PPE, gowning, and documentation requirements while working with biohazards, chemicals, temperature-controlled materials, pressure systems, and cleanroom processes.
  • Maintain accurate records, including logbooks, batch records, SOPs, work instructions, forms, reports, CAPAs, change controls, and other manufacturing or operations documentation.
  • Assist with buffer and media formulation, fill-finish activities, aseptic processing, in-process testing, validation, equipment qualification, product labeling, raw material preparation, kitting, packaging, shipping verification, and inventory support.
  • Use critical thinking, troubleshooting, and teamwork to support daily operations and meet business needs in a fast-paced biotech manufacturing environment.

Qualifications
