Job description

Why this role matters

As a key member of the Plant Maintenance team in Fountain Inn, SC, you’ll keep production moving by preventing downtime and rapidly resolving issues. You’ll report to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Manager.

Your impact
  • Champion safety protocols at all times.
  • Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical problems on pumps, motors, gearboxes, plastic extruders, and other production machinery.
  • Complete preventive maintenance and record activities in CMMS.
  • Support and train entry-level technicians; handle tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Apply electrical test equipment to evaluate circuits and equipment health.
  • Troubleshoot AC and DC motors as well as motor drives.
  • Understand PLC operation, read ladder logic, and perform troubleshooting.
  • Interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, plus manuals and bulletins.
  • Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
  • Use shop machinery and hand tools to complete repairs.
  • Plan and prioritize your workload; deliver results on time.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping in the plant and maintenance shop.
  • Occasionally operate a company vehicle/truck; a valid driver’s license is required.
  • Perform additional related tasks as needed.
  • Read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedures; write reports/correspondence; communicate effectively.
What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience and an Associate’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
Physical demands
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to talk, listen, and speak clearly with team members.

  • Starting pay: $25.00 - $41.00 per hour, based on experience
