This position is a full-time stylist role with a structured Manager-in-Training onboarding program. To ensure long-term success, all new managers complete approximately three months of paid leadership training before transitioning into the Salon Manager position. Our goal is to set every manager up for success through hands-on coaching, mentorship, and real-world leadership experience.
Compensation
Salon Managers typically earn $71,000-$78,000 annually, including hourly pay, tips, performance bonuses, and weekend pay differentials.
What You'll Learn and Lead
As you progress through training and into the Salon Manager role, you'll develop the skills to:
  • Lead daily salon operations, including scheduling, inventory, and point-of-sale management.
  • Recruit, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing team of stylists.
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience while maintaining Sport Clips brand standards.
  • Manage product ordering, merchandising, and inventory to support salon profitability.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-focused culture.
  • Support payroll, administrative tasks, and compliance with company policies and state licensing requirements.

Why Join Sport Clips?
  • Paid time off
  • $200 annual self-care stipend
  • Established walk-in clientele-no need to build a book
  • Medical insurance with company contribution
  • Dental, vision, and telehealth benefits
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Paid leadership and technical training
  • Clear career path into multi-unit leadership opportunities
  • Supportive, team-oriented culture
  • Nationally recognized company committed to career growth and leadership development

Qualifications
  • Active Idaho Cosmetology or Barber License
  • Previous leadership or management experience is preferred (salon, retail, hospitality, or similar environments)
  • Strong communication, coaching, and customer service skills
  • Desire to mentor others and lead by example
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced salon environment
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

If you're ready to take the next step in your career, we'll provide the training, support, and tools you need to become a successful Salon Manager.
