Friday – Sunday (Weekend Shift) 5:30AM – 6:00PM

Job Summary:

Supervise facilities staff. Responsible for the upkeep and repair of the equipment, building and grounds. Responsibilities specifically include: the electrical, HVAC, conveyor, powered industrial equipment, life safety equipment. Coordinates with local contractors and vendors.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Oversees all work and demonstrates SME (Subject Matter Expert) levels of knowledge on all MHE (Material Handling Equipment) in the building
  • Ensure inventory levels are maintained through CMMS.
  • Verifies all work orders are complete and preforms verification of each members work.
  • Supervise maintenance staff. Develops, counsels, trains, motivates, and resolves associate relations issues and conducts performance appraisals and monitors performance of facilities associates.
  • Coordinates daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintains efficiency and safety of all equipment. Monitors the daily operation and directs action as required.
  • Manage projects within the building as needed.
  • Coordinates with the operational leaders to establish priorities and schedules the workload to satisfy production needs.
  • Coordinates with local contractors and vendors for equipment and services as required and ensures contract compliance.
  • Obtains services for repairs and maintenance of the facility’s equipment.
  • Completes reports and records as needed
  • Ensure all vendor work is completed before signing off on work.
  • Understand and drives budget requirements.

Direct & Indirect Reports (exempt and non-exempt) 1-15

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent plus 3 - 5 years of conveyor systems and powered equipment experience. Minimum job skills required to perform this job (for example: programming languages, strong interpersonal skills, computer software packages).
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, trade standards and general practices within the maintenance field.
  • Strong knowledge of electricity, mechanical, construction, plumbing and HVAC.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. Minimum experience required to perform this job.
  • Proven ability to supervise and influence others on the team.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize many different projects and workload.
  • Experience of multi-contractor management.
  • 4-6 years in the maintenance field with experience in supervising mechanics preferred.
  • Two years supervisory experience.
