We are looking for skilled MAINTENANCE WORKERS to join the Sunnyside team! The starting rate is $22-$25/hr (Starting wages will be tired to applicant's ability and experience.) We are especially looking for candidates with full time and weekend availability. Must be available to work holidays.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide the highest level of service for our guests. Clean all dishware, food preparation equipment, cooking pots and pans, utensils, glassware, and kitchen. Perform general restaurant maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Inspect equipment and facilities in the kitchen, bar, dining room, and exterior areas of the building to ensure they are clean and in orderly condition.
  • Perform day to day maintenance within building including things such as replenishing batteries and light bulbs, break down cardboard boxes and deposit in appropriate receptacles
  • Monitor and fix minor issues with AV equipment, internet, plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems. Elevate larger issues or repairs to the General Manager.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance (light bulbs, batteries, pest control, cleaning supplies)
  • Safe use and storage of power tools and chemicals in designated maintenance rooms/areas
  • Assist or lead maintenance projects including painting, sanding, staining, or repairing furniture
  • Take preventative measures to ensure building is free of pests including inspecting for signs of infestation, setting traps, applying bait, and making repairs to prevent entry
  • Perform day to day maintenance of exterior areas of the building including things such as heaters, umbrellas, outdoor lighting, firepits, and deck or patio furniture
  • Perform day to day maintenance of food and beverage preparation areas including things such as dishwashers, walk-ins, mixers, heat lamps, and food or dry storage areas
  • Perform day to day maintenance of service areas including things such as moving furniture, dusting fans and light fixtures, sweeping or mopping floors, power washing, stacking/hauling wood, moving linen
  • Take preventative measures to ensure clearance around the building during inclement weather including snow blowing, sand bagging, and sweeping of debris, sand, or mud
  • Must be dependable, report to work as scheduled and on time, and follow all policies regarding attendance.  Regular attendance is an essential function of this job. 
  • Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns; personal, employee or guest injury.
  • Follow food safety program guidelines of handwashing, bare hands, hygiene and health
