Job description

Position Overview:

The operator will operate CNC beam-processing equipment (drill lines, coping machines, layout systems, etc.) in a structural steel environment. This role supports beam production per shop drawings, including drilling, coping, and layout, while maintaining accuracy and pace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC beam processing equipment
  • Read and interpret shop drawings
  • Set up and run material through machines
  • Verify parts meet required tolerances
  • Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting
  • Maintain production flow in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience:

  • Structural steel fabrication experience
  • CNC equipment and/or DSTV file familiarity
  • Experience with overhead cranes/material handling
  • General fabrication equipment experience (ironworkers, shears, press brakes, burn tables, saws)

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of fabrication shop experience
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, bending)
  • Ability to pass a drug test
