Description

As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality anesthesia care for cardiac procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes, and you will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to maintain the highest standards of clinical practice. 

Responsibilities
  • Administer anesthesia for various cardiac surgical procedures
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff to develop anesthesia care plans
  • Evaluate patient medical history and perform pre-anesthesia assessments
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff regarding anesthesia practices
  • Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology and cardiac care
  • Document anesthesia care and patient responses accurately
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology
  • Current state medical license
  • Experience in cardiac anesthesiology preferred

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-5p

Call: Monday-Friday (5p-7a) & 24-hour weekend call shifts

Average Daily Census: 5 admissions, 1 inpatient, and 1 ICU patient

Will respond to in-house codes

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
