Primary Function

The Final Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling complete water softener units on a final assembly line according to established work instructions, quality standards and production requirements.

Looking for either 1st shift 6am-2:30pm or 2nd shift 2pm-10:30pm Monday- Friday. Additional $1 shift differential for working 2nd shift. Occational Saturday if OT is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble complete water softener units on a final assembly line including tanks, control valves, resin tanks, plumbing and electrical components
  • Follow standard work instructions, visual aids, and assembly specifications to ensure accurate and consistent builds
  • Perform visual and functional quality checks throughout the assembly process
  • Identify and report defective parts, quality concerns or equipment issues to the Team Lead or Supervisor
  • Meet daily production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe workstation in accordance with 5S and safety requirements
  • Accurately complete production counts and required documentation
  • Support cross-training and assist in other assembly or production areas as needed
  • Follow all safety policies, work rules and PPE requirements at all times

Qualifications

  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous assembly or manufacturing experience
  • Experience working on an assembly line or in final assembly
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools and basic mechanical assemblies

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds overhead and maneuver various parts weighting up to 50 lbs.
