ABOUT US

Aptiv is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting people with disabilities in achieving greater independence and inclusion. We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Production Technician to join our Opportunity Enterprises team!

THE ROLE

As a Production Technician, you will help keep our production operations running smoothly by completing a variety of manufacturing, production, assembly, packaging, and machine operation tasks. You will work as part of a team to meet customer specifications, production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Perform light assembly, packaging, labeling, sorting, and counting.
  • Operate basic machinery, tools, and production equipment.
  • Set up, tear down, clean, and organize production work areas.
  • Complete work according to customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Use computer systems and manufacturing software for job setup, data entry, time tracking, and reporting.
  • Monitor production for accuracy, quality, and productivity.
  • Help identify and improve production processes and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized industrial work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and customers.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and organizational policies.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, packaging, warehouse, or industrial work preferred.
  • Experience operating tools, machinery, or production equipment is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to perform data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Dependable, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Willingness to learn new equipment, software, and production processes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is an active, hands-on position. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, reach, stretch, and work around production equipment. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions is required.
