POSITION: Georgia Learning Resources System Administrative Assistant
LOCATION: GLRS (Lincoln Complex)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Dougherty County School System is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Georgia Learning Resources System Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant plays a critical role performing a variety of administrative tasks to ensure efficient operations. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Diploma in Business Office Technology or equivalent;
  2. Two years of clerical experience in a school office or related setting;
  3. Experience in working with sensitive information;
  4. Experience in Microsoft and Google Suites;
  5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and the Board may find appropriate.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  1. Excellent communication and organization skills;
  2. Ability to collect, sort, prepare, and scan documents, and label them for easy identification;
  3. Ability to ensure that all records are properly updated, and maintained accurately and confidentially;
  4. Ability to perform routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance;
  2. Manages scheduling for the Teacher Resource Center and monitor Center usage;
  3. Manages bank accounts, including submitting required paperwork, reconciling accounts, etc.
  4. Manages the contract process, including approval of vendors, writing, sending out, and monitoring receipt of consultant/vendor contracts, and submitting paperwork to the appropriate departments for approval;
  5. Manages event registration forms, correspond with registrants, and send out event reminders;
  6. Assists with planning and preparing for GLRS event;
  7. Assists with breakdown and cleanup of conference rooms following event;
  8. Updates electronic participant data following each GLRS event;
  9. Collects and maintains office records in an organized manner that facilitates easy access for other GLRS staff;
  10. Manages inventory of materials, supplies, snacks, etc. and initiates the process of replacing/replenishing as needed;
  11. Submits work orders on behalf of GLRS;
  12. Manages information coming into GLRS, including phone calls, interoffice mail, guests, etc;
  13. Performs other such duties assigned by the Supervisor.

SALARY RANGE: Competitive salary and excellent benefits package, in accordance with the DCSS Compensation Guide
