Practice Area: Personal Injury Litigation
We are a personal injury law firm seeking an experienced, highly organized, and bilingual Litigation Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling Florida personal injury litigation and must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
  • Draft pleadings, motions, notices, correspondence, and other legal documents
  • Prepare and respond to discovery, including Interrogatories, Requests for Production, and Requests for Admissions
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, CMEs, and other litigation matters
  • Calendar and monitor court, discovery, and litigation deadlines
  • File pleadings and documents through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal
  • Communicate with clients in English and Spanish
  • Communicate professionally with opposing counsel, insurance adjusters, medical providers, experts, and court personnel
  • Request and organize medical records, bills, and case documentation
  • Maintain organized electronic case files and ensure cases are progressing appropriately
  • Assist attorneys with mediation and trial preparation
  • Follow up on outstanding discovery, records, subpoenas, and other litigation matters
Required Qualifications
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish – required
  • Prior personal injury litigation experience
  • Knowledge of Florida civil litigation procedures
  • Experience with the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal
  • Experience preparing and responding to discovery
