Job description

Carnahan Evans PC is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant to join our team. If you’re organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy being an important part of our team, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience working in a legal setting who can confidently manage deadlines, court filings, documents, and day-to-day administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and comfortable working independently while staying on top of multiple priorities.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage docketing and calendar important deadlines
  • Handle electronic court filings
  • Draft correspondence and assist with litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs
  • Maintain organized files and records
  • Provide general secretarial and administrative support to attorneys
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and other parties
  • Help keep matters organized and moving forward

  • 3+ years of experience in a legal setting
  • Litigation experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
