DESCRIPTION:


As a Packaging/Labeling Supervisor at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll manage a team responsible for ensuring clinical pharmaceutical products are packaged and labeled with the highest standards of quality and compliance. You'll oversee 20-40 employees across multiple production lines, applying Good Manufacturing Principles while demonstrating our core values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement. This role combines technical expertise with people leadership, as you'll be responsible for daily operations, continuous improvement initiatives, and developing your team's capabilities. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, optimize processes, and ensure timely delivery of critical pharmaceutical products that support healthcare outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS:


• Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements, and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
• Experience managing teams of 10+ employees
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques including line balancing, Takt Time, 5S, SMED, TPM
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coaching teams and interfacing with stakeholders
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities for investigating deviations and implementing solutions
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining SOPs and production documentation
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in various environmental conditions
• Visual acuity to perform quality inspections and color vision requirements
• Must be available to work various shifts including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed
• Experience using manufacturing/quality systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to implement process improvement initiatives and support operational excellence
• Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities in a deadline-driven environment

Education:

• Advanced Degree preferred plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree preferred plus 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging or FDA-regulated industry
• Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Management, Engineering, Scientific field, or related discipline
• Additional certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Project Management preferred
