Ingleside Communities in Mount Horeb is currently looking to hire a Laundry Aide as part of our team!
$16-$18.76/hr, depending on experience.
As a Laundry aide, you will:
  • Maintain the facility in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition, free from dust, dirt, odors, and clutter.

  • Vacuum carpeted areas daily.

  • Sweep and wet mop floors daily; buff floors for approximately one hour per day.

  • Wet-wipe vinyl chairs, over-bed tables, bedside stands, and windowsills daily.

  • Dust furniture daily using appropriate cleaning products or polish.

  • Empty wastebaskets daily and replace plastic liners.

  • Clean bathrooms daily, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.

  • Replenish paper products and soap dispensers as needed.

  • Clean interior windows according to the established schedule.

  • Water plants throughout the facility as needed.

  • Sweep outdoor entryways daily to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.

  • Inform the supervisor when supplies need to be reordered.

  • Restock housekeeping carts daily to ensure adequate supplies are available.

  • Change mop heads frequently and replace bucket water regularly throughout the day.

  • Identify maintenance or repair needs and report them to the supervisor.

  • Maintain a clean and organized housekeeping/laundry room.

  • Wash walls and other surfaces as needed.

  • Sanitize equipment according to established schedules and procedures.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Administrator to support a high-quality housekeeping department.


Requirements:
  • The Laundry Assistant all proper protective equipment (PPE) is to be used or worn as outlined standard processes and policies.
  • Physical activities include but not limited to, considerable use of arms and legs and moving of whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, twisting, squatting, and handling materials.
  • The Laundry Assistant ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs. This position will require the individual to be on their feet for most of their shift.
  • May be exposed to certain levels of noise with the equipment in operation.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaking is a plus.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping tasks is preferred.
  • Must be able to physically weight lift a maximum of 30lbs, with frequent waist lifting and/or overhead lifting of 20lbs. Must be able to push and/or pull with a maximum effort of 20lbs.
  • Must be able to frequently bend, squat, and twist body during an 8 hour day.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping equipment is preferred.
  • Must be able to attend mandatory in-services and housekeeping department meetings.
  • Must be willing to work weekends.
