Weekend Laundry Aide (PRN)

Facility: Sun Harbor Healthcare
Location: Port Charlotte, Florida
Schedule: PRN | Days, Evenings and Weekends.
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour

Sun Harbor Healthcare is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Weekend Laundry Aide to help ensure our residents receive clean, organized, and well-maintained clothing and linens. If you take pride in creating a clean, safe, and comfortable environment while providing excellent service, we'd love to have you on our team.

Responsibilities
  • Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens.

  • Ensure resident clothing is properly labeled and returned to the correct resident.

  • Organize and maintain resident closets and assist with new clothing inventory.

  • Complete required documentation for resident clothing and laundry items.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary laundry department at all times.

  • Follow all infection control, universal precautions, and safety guidelines.

  • Monitor linen inventory and notify supervisors of supply needs.

  • Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or maintenance issues promptly.

  • Properly store laundry equipment and supplies after use.

  • Assist with lifting and moving laundry carts, supplies, and equipment as needed.

  • Work collaboratively with nursing and housekeeping staff to meet resident needs.

Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

  • Previous experience in a nursing home, healthcare facility, or commercial laundry is preferred, but not required.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
