Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in hands-on work, and wants to be part of a close-knit, family-owned business? Eastern Iowa Landscapes is looking for a Landscape Technician to join our team in Solon, IA and help us create beautiful outdoor spaces throughout the Corridor.

This is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to learn, grow, and work directly alongside our experienced owner, gaining valuable skills in landscaping, hardscaping, and tree services. No two days are the same! You’ll be building retaining walls, brick patios, planting trees, shrubs, and flowers, and while maintaining a variety of landscapes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in the installation of patios, walkways, and retaining walls
  • Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment
  • Performing grading and drainage work to ensure proper water flow
  • Handle planting, pruning, mulching, and general landscape maintenance
  • Work independently while maintaining safety and efficiency
  • Other duties as required


What We’re Looking For:

  • Hardworking & Reliable – Someone who shows up on time, ready to work
  • Physically Capable – Ability to lift up to 85 pounds and handle outdoor labor in various weather conditions
  • Valid Driver’s License & Reliable Transportation
  • Adaptable & Coachable – Willing to learn and take direction


Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Required):

  • Previous experience in landscaping or residential construction strongly preferred
  • Ability to back a trailer
  • Previous experience with concrete
  • Plant knowledge
  • Experience running equipment such as skid loaders, excavators, and/or similar equipment
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools
