We are currently looking for candidates who are highly motivated and eager to learn to join our growing team. This Production worker will be responsible for manufacturing various innovative stormwater erosion control products; expected to effectively produce high quality products through the use of machine and equipment operation.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laborer/Operator with strong hand eye-coordination and precise control ("fine motor skills") to handle various machinery and equipment safely and efficiently. We are looking to fill a night shift position that offers an additional $1.00/hour shift differential. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, chain saws, and other specialized tools. This role is essential to the success of our operations, requiring a keen focus on safety, productivity, and teamwork.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform all production tasks while maintaining quality standards.
  • Assist Production Lead in meeting or exceeding daily production goals.
  • Set production line balance and speed
  • Loading and unloading parts into manufacturing equipment. Parts are not extremely heavy but are big and awkwardly shaped
  • Perform pre-shift and end of shift checks and maintenance on equipment
  • Keep facilities and equipment clean and maintained
  • Abide by all yard rules, safety regulations, and PPE requirements
  • Participate in safety briefings, job briefings, and any other meetings as required by Manager
  • Pass on information from team members, management, or customers.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
  • Other duties may be assigned


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years' experience of heavy equipment preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
  • Prior experience with hand tools, preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
  • Flexible to work various hours including shift work.
  • Able to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Demonstrating initiative with regards to responsibilities.
  • Ability to ambulate around the site.
  • Enthusiastic, with a drive for results.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Environment/Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to stand, talk and hear.
  • Occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and smell.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, and is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions and vibration.

Work Environment
