Overview

Join a dedicated team as a Field Laboratory Representative and play a vital role in the drug testing process. This position offers the opportunity to work in a clinical setting, ensuring accurate specimen collection and contributing to valuable laboratory analysis. If you have strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and professionalism, this role provides a rewarding environment to apply your skills and serve the community.

Responsibilities

Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of urine specimens

Collect urine specimens from patients, including observed and supervised collections

Follow departmental policies to correctly identify patients before specimen collection

Properly label, document, and prepare specimens for shipment

Demonstrate customer service and compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff

Communicate effectively with a diverse patient population

Follow Universal Precautions and OSHA standards when handling specimens

Strictly adhere to HIPAA guidelines regarding patient confidentiality

Report low volume shifts, issues, or procedural deviations to supervisors

Maintain tidy and organized work areas at all times

Assist in order processing and managing office supplies as needed
