What You’ll Do:


Patient Care & Specimen Collection

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures with precision and care
  • Properly identify, label, process, and prepare specimens for analysis
  • Assist patients before, during, and after blood collection procedures
  • Maintain specimen integrity and adhere to infection control standards
Laboratory Support
  • Perform waived testing including urinalysis, pregnancy testing, and rapid strep testing
  • Assist with moderate complexity testing using chemistry and hematology analyzers under supervision
  • Process laboratory orders accurately and efficiently
  • Assist with routine maintenance and quality control procedures
Administrative & Technical Responsibilities
  • Utilize electronic health record systems and laboratory computer systems accurately
  • Review manifests, fax results, troubleshoot order discrepancies, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Answer phones and communicate professionally with patients, providers, staff, and vendors
  • Maintain inventory and restock laboratory supplies as needed

Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Phlebotomy program
  • Minimum one (1) year of Phlebotomist experience
  • Current Medical Assistant (MA) Phlebotomist Certification with the State of WA
  • Experience working with electronic health record systems
  • Current BLS certification
  • For moderate complexity testing a high school graduate or equivalent AND documentation of training at the present facility for testing performed
